About me

Hello, my name is Debbie (Debs) (she/her) and I am a qualified and insured Person-centred counsellor.

I have always been drawn towards helping people and in my past career, I worked in the care sector for 28 years, supporting children and adults with complex needs and mental health relating issues. As a result of this, I decided to go back to university and I gained my Post Graduate Diploma in Person-centred counselling.

As a person-centred counsellor, I fully accept my clients for who they are. I highly believe in showing understanding and being open and honest with a non-judgemental approach - whilst being fully integrated into the relationship with my client. I do not direct my clients and tell them what to do, but instead, I prefer to explore options together and encourage them to share whatever they feel comfortable with at their own pace.

I offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions. Sessions last for 50 minutes. Sessions can be held through the online line platform Zoom, FaceTime or by telephone.

If a client choses online therapy and there is a technical breakdown, I shall use an alternative method and continue the session over the phone.
